    Who we are looking for:


    This position will be responsible for performing subsurface field investigations in a variety of locations, ranging from interstate highways to remote and difficult to access locations. The driller directly controls the rate of drilling and a skilled position that requires extensive knowledge of rock types and drilling procedures. Responsible also for overseeing the rig crew regardless of whether you are using one of F&R's truck-mounted, rubber-tired ATV, skid-mounted, man-portable rig, or track-mounted units.


    What you’ll be doing:

    Including but not limited to:


    • Receive instructions for drilling parameters as well as other work procedures, and ensure their correct application
    • Oversee your crew and perform subsurface field investigations
    • Use GPS to log the location of a site’s boreholes and link it to other information about the worksite
    • Some out of town travel will be required


    What you need to have: 

    • High school degree or equivalent
    • Class A CDL required
    • Overall understanding of the engineering service industry
    • Prior experience providing drilling services desired
    • Experience with HSA, SPT, mud rotary, and/or rock coring highly desirable
    • Ability to problem solve, accessing roadblocks with poise and control
    • Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
    • State-issued well driller certification a plus
    • Valid driver’s license and good standing driving record
    • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and driving record
