    Who we are looking for:


    F&R is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join our corporate Accounting team in our Richmond, VA office! This position will be responsible for the bi-weekly internal processing of payroll and related reporting. You will ideally be highly organized, attentive to details, and self-motivated to be successful in this position.


    What you’ll be doing:

    Including, but not limited to:


    • Ability to process payroll in-house using accounting software for approximately 400 employees, Dynamics SL experience a plus.
    • File monthly, quarterly and annual federal and state payroll tax filings including preparing and processing W-2s.
    • Handle garnishments and court-ordered child support deductions.
    • Maintain employee folders and records.
    • Experience with preparation of certified payroll.Complete employment/income verifications and unemployment paperwork.
    • Other responsibilities as needed.


    What you need to have:

    • 3 or more years of diverse experience with Payroll or Accounting
    • High School diploma or equivalent required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business a plus
    • Demonstrated efficiency with payroll and accounting software packages
    • Demonstrated ability to perform logical problem solving
    • Ability to adapt to rapid changes/rapid work environment, manage competing demands
    • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
    • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
    • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication and skills (oral and written)
    • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background investigation, drug screening and good standing driving record
