    Who we are looking for:


    F&R is looking for a Staff Geotechnical Engineer! This is an Entry level position to assist the principal engineers in providing geotechnical services on a variety of public and private sector civil work projects in design and construction phases.  Work with other members of the geotechnical services department including geologists, technicians, drill crews, and sub-consultants in order to prepare the deliverables.


    What you’ll be doing:


    Specific duties include, but not limited to:

    • Assist in planning and coordinating the field exploration programs including site reconnaissance
    • Perform soil and rock visual classification
    • Coordinate with soils laboratory
    • Perform soils analysis based on the obtained historical and drilling data under the supervision of a principal engineer
    • Assist in the preparation of the geotechnical engineering project work scopes, budget, and proposals
    • Assist in the preparation of geotechnical reports and deliverables
    • Support in management of geotechnical and drilling projects, including project schedules, budgets and invoicing
    • Communicate with the existing and the potential clients


    What you need to have:


    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
    • Proficient with technical reports.
    • Proficient with engineering software.
    • Valid Driver's license with insurable driving record.
    • Able to travel locally to/from project sites.
