  • Overview

     This position will provide engineering expertise; assisting engineering personnel in implementing geotechnical engineering projects, supporting field crews, performing and/or reviewing laboratory test results and other related engineering activities.

     

    Responsibilities

         The tasks may be required to perform include, but are not      limited to:

    • Field reconnaissance
    • Field logging and managing drilling program for variety of projects
    • Reviewing test results
    • Performing geotechnical engineering calculations
    • Preparation of soil reports and proposals and
    • Various geotechnical engineering tasks

    Qualifications

    • Professional in thought and deed with an understanding of the engineering service industry
    • A problem solver that can address roadblocks with poise and control
    • Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred, but not required.
    • 3+ years of experience providing engineering services.
    • Strong project or task management skills, including scheduling, execution and follow-up
    • Ability to travel to and from project sites within a few hours of the office.
    • Must be knowledgeable of site work and earthwork construction techniques.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills both oral and written.
    • Must be able to successfully manage numerous assignments and meet deadlines.
    • Must be able to work independently and within teams to achieve goals.
    • Must be detail oriented.
    • Must be willing to participate in and pass F&R’s pre-employment screening including a background. investigation, drug screening and driving record.
    • Requires a valid, clean driver’s license, as travel to job sites is required.
    • Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver’s license to fulfill travel requirements of this positon.
